The Guatelli Family
The connection between the Guatelli Family and the lithographed tin cans has deep roots in the past
guatelli
Guatelli, a family for the arts
Riccardo Guatelli represents the third generation leading the family business, founded by his
grandfather Rocco and continued by his father Aldo.
Riccardo’s passion for his work is united with his profound love for his wife, Tiziana Riva, his
muse in the world of art.
For this reason, in 2006, with the assistance of curator Daniela Lauria, they decided to house
their collection of over 6,000 pieces in a 17th-century olive mill in the hinterland of Imperia.
Today, the collection is overseen by their daughter, Manuela Guatelli Giamminola. After living
abroad with her husband and four children, she returned to Italy and actively manages the
family collection, promoting it worldwide.
We stand apart from the ranks,
alternative and free.
We delight in loving love,
playing with tin,
with the heart
and with true life.
